Icinga Camp Berlin 2022 – das Programm steht!

Nach langem Warten freut es natürlich viele, dass die Event-Saison nun endlich wieder gestartet ist! Auch wir alle bei NETWAYS haben uns sehr danach gesehnt. Für die Monitoring- und Icinga-Fans unter Euch hat Icinga nun ein ganz besonderes Schmankerl, das die Wartezeit bis zum Icinga Camp Berlin 2022 am 21. Juli versüßen soll – das Programm steht nämlich und ist bereits online!

 

Icinga Camp in a Nutshell

Wenn Du das erste Mal dabei sein wirst, dann fragst Du Dich bestimmt, was Dich eigentlich genau erwartet beim Icinga Camp.

August was the hottest month of the year. A fact that was met with mixed emotions at the NETWAYS HQ. Some colleagues were complaining and swearing and planning trips to the north pole, while others were walking around with a smile, enjoining the summer sun. And who stayed calm throughout it all? Our data centers! Yes, monitoring sometimes really is everything.

Always consulting 

Christoph tested a new tool and shared his findings with us in tooltip httrack. Dirk does a lot of planning and teaching in our apprenticeship-program and let us in on the news regarding IT apprenticeships in Die Neuordnung der IT-Ausbildungsberufe und wir. And Daniel wrote down his path to sorting Ansible groups in Ansible Host-Gruppen: Wer gehört zu wem? Meanwhile David was working from home when suddenly his computer didn`t work anymore. He shared a few ideas on using tools available to still be able to work in GTD ohne Equipment. Lorenz took a closer look at alerting witch Icinga, and let us in on the advantages of XMPP in Zurück in die Zukunft: Icinga2-Benachrichtigungen mit XMPP

Catharina unterstützt seit März 2016 unsere Abteilung Finance & Administration. Die gebürtige Norwegerin ist Fremdsprachenkorrespondentin für Englisch. Als Office Manager kümmert sie sich deshalb nicht nur um das Tagesgeschäft sondern übernimmt nebenbei zusätzlich einen Großteil der Übersetzungen. Privat ist der bekennende Bücherwurm am liebsten mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs.

Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC) 2020 cancelled

With mixed feelings we announce that we cancel the Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC) for this year due to Corona. The decision is made with a heavy heart, the crucial point though is that dangers and consequences are currently too hard to assess.

Holding the conference online was not really an option too. This might work for other conferences and formats, and many organizers did a great job with online events. But an online event would leave out what OSMC really is about: Meeting other monitoring experts in person, discussing and socializing in a relaxed atmosphere.

OSMC 2020 | GET ON STAGE!

Hey folks, listen up!

OSMC’s call for papers is about to close. So prepare yourselves for the big monitoring stage and submit your paper.
We are looking for the latest trends, how-tos, case studies, best practices, future developments and anything that can help practitioners in their daily work. You can read more about CfP 2020 here.

The conference is aimed at professionals from the open source monitoring scene. The Open Source Monitoring Conference OSMC is about networking and meeting the international community. The lecture program provides up-to-date expert knowledge, and the workshops offer deep insights into various specialist areas. At the Hackathon, you build together with like-minded people on the project you always wanted to tackle.

So be there when the international open source scene meets in November at the monitoring hotspot Nuremberg! The conference will take place for the 15th time from November 16 to 19. You can find the ticket details here.

Call for Papers: Become a Speaker at OSMC 2020

Be a trendsetter! OSMC is the annual meeting of international monitoring experts, where future trends and objectives are set.

The Open Source Monitoring Conference is your conference of choice, when it comes to networking within the monitoring community, getting new inputs and ideas for your monitoring environment, and presenting yourself and your work to a highly skilled audience.

Become a speaker and share your knowledge with the community! Call for Papers is running until July 31, 2020! Submit your paper here.

Share your ideas!

We are looking for technical presentations that provide insights into new subject areas or open source projects, explain technical backgrounds, and present the latest developments and features. How-tos, case studies, best practices and outlooks on future trends are welcome.

Speakers can choose between three formats: the 60-minute presentation, the 30-minute presentation and the Ignite Talk (5 minutes). A question and answer session is scheduled after each presentation. The conference will be held in English and German. Presentations in English are particularly welcome!

Workshops and the OSMC Hackathon

In addition to the lecture program, the event includes a day of technical workshops and the popular OSMC Hackathon. The OSMC will take place in Nuremberg, Germany, November 16 – 19, 2020. Until June 30, 2020 you’ve got the opportunity to purchase one of the coveted Early Bird tickets. Don’t miss to get your conference pass for the best prize!
