The Europe-wide leading Open Source Backup Conference will take place in Cologne for the 9th time and focuses on Open Source Backup Software.
The OSBConf is the ideal platform to gain latest know how and to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments on open source backup software.
On September 25, there will be three in-depht workshops on the topics „Puppet“, „Bareos Introduction“ and „Scripting Bareos“. In the evening, there’ll be a relaxed evening event to meet each other.

The English-speaking conference offers the ideal platform to gain latest know how and to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments on open source backup software.
Besides the presentations, there are three hands-on workshops and a relaxed evening event on September 25.

OSDC 2017 – Was du heute kannst besorgen…
… das verschiebe nicht auf morgen! Und vor allem nicht, wenn man viel sparen kann! Die Early Bird Phase und der Call for Papers für die Open Source Data Center Conference vom 16.-18. Mai 2017 in Berlin ist eröffnet.
Bis zum 31. Januar könnt ihr euch noch verbilligte Konferenztickets (100 € billiger!) schnappen!
Außerdem sind wir wieder auf der Suche nach interessanten Vortragsvorschlägen internationaler Referenten, die der Konferenz auch inhaltlich den entsprechenden Pfiff verpassen!
Ebenfalls bis Ende Januar haben Referenten die Möglichkeit, ihre Vorträge und Case Studies via Call for Papers Formular auf der Konferenzwebsite einzureichen und aktiv an der Gestaltung des Programmes mitzuwirken.
Im Vordergrund der Konferenz, die in altbewährter Location – dem Hotel MOA in Berlin – stattfindet, steht wie immer der Erfahrungsaustausch der Teilnehmer, sowie die Zusammenkunft der Open Source Community und heiße Diskussionen rund um’s Thema Software im Bereich Open Source Data Center. Wie schon in den letzten Jahren bieten wir auch wieder ergänzende Workshops zu verschiedenen Themenbereichen an.
Nun also fix an eure Schreibtische setzen und euren Vortragsvorschlag bei uns einreichen, zwischen den Feiertagen findet sich bestimmt ein wenig Zeit dazu!

Open Source Backup Conference – Call for Papers
The Open Source Backup Conference started it‘s Call for Papers. Interested speakers are invited to submit their proposals via the official event website. Papers will be accepted until June 5th.
The Open Source Backup Conference will take place on September 26 and 27, in Cologne, Germany. The event rates as Europe-wide leading for open source data backup solutions. The two day, English-language summit is dedicated to open source backup software such as REAR, Bacula, Amanda and especially Bareos. The OSBConference is hosted by dass IT and open source specialist NETWAYS.
International IT experts and decision-makers from various industries – such as science and research, education, software development and service providers, media or telecommunication – take this ideal opportunity to exchange experiences and get into in-depth discussions about best practices and the latest know-how in the field of open source backup solutions. In addition to the varied lecture program three hands-on workshops are offered: Bareos Introduction, Monitoring with Icinga 2 and REAR. The workshops will take place on September 26, from 2 am to 6 am.

Letzter Aufruf zum Call for Papers für die OSDC 2016!
Das OSDC Programm für 2016 nimmt langsam Gestalt an. Kein Wunder, denn der Call for Papers endet bereits am 31.12. Alle, die gern mit ihrem Beitrag auf der weltbesten Konferenz für Open Source Einsatz in Rechenzentren und großen IT Umgebungen vertreten wären, sollten sich also beeilen und schnellst möglich hier ihren Themenvorschlag einreichen.
Für alle anderen gilt es ebenfalls schnell zu sein, wenn sie sich die begehrten Teilnehmertickets noch zum Early Bird Preis sichern wollen. Auch hier ist der 31.12. die absolute Deadline. Wie immer wird zusätzlich die Möglichkeit geboten, an einem von drei vertiefenden Workshops teilzunehmen. Themen 2016 werden sein:
- ADVANCED GRAPHING with Graphite and Co.
- DOCKER Virtual Containers
- LOGSTASH Enterprise Logfile Management
