Hello!! In the Month of family, friends and festival, Philipp shared his experience with Corporate Development at NETWAYS-Style and Markus announced OSMC 2017’s Archive is online! while Eric shows how Override Vagrant Config locally. Markus talked about annotations in Grafana, while Isabel said HW group takes several devices from the program, and Keya was excited to talk about her first Christmas party at NETWAYS. Achim explained how to use ext4 beyond 16Tib. Gunnar spoke about Microservices and Jabberbots and Lennart announced the documents for the new infrastructure for Puppet training. Keya announced 10th year of Open Source Data Center Conference, how and when to submit papers while Johannes talked about NETWAYS training with style, Thomas got dearer to Icinga 2, Lennart explained in depth Icinga 2 monitoring automated with Puppet part 8: Integration of Icinga Web 2 and Julia reviewed NETWAYS 2017.

Gifts, Sweets and Lots of fun… “Weihnachtsfeier 2017”

The rumours are true, the NETWAYS-parties really are the best parties. And the Christmas party was so awesome, that I am still in awe! Markus arranged the perfect mix of surprises and comfort for all of us. At first Markus and Lukas served Glühwein, a hot and spicy wine which helped create a Christmassy party- mood. Everyone enjoyed their Glühwein and the party-music. At 6:30 we entered the bus, ready to leave for the Christmas-party. The destination was kept a surprise, and the atmosphere was great.

Ta-da! We arrived at “Kernmühle” near Rosstal, and were instantly overwhelmed! It was in the middle of nowhere, and hot Glühwein was served outside in the snow, where bonfires kept us warm.
After enjoying the magical atmosphere for a while, we went inside and got ready for dinner. The food was delicious and varied, and after eating way too much (as is NETWAYS’s tradition), Bernd and Vanessa handed out the small gifts we had bought for each other.

After dinner some of us played “Hammerschlagen”, where the goal was to hit the nail into the wood faster than the opponents, and some of us danced to the party-music. Then we all got great Christmas- presents and personal Christmas-cards from NETWAYS! But the party still wasn’t over, it lasted well into the night, which is also a NETWAYS tradition.
