Foreman | Lifecycle Management
Foreman is a lifecycle management system for servers. It supports administrators in the provisioning of virtual and physical systems and the subsequent configuration management. In addition to the graphical user interface, Foreman provides both a command line and an API for integration into other applications. The software can be extended in its range of functions by plug-ins and thus forms the basis of the Red Hat Network Satellite, among other things.

Work your way through
In this Foreman training, participants will learn the basic architecture behind Foreman, install and configure Foreman, and then test various provisioning options. For configuration management purposes, you will integrate Puppet and/or Ansible and get an overview of users and permissions. In practical exercises and demos, you will learn about plugins such as Remote Execution for orchestration and Katello for software management.

Target group
Skills | before & after
Administrators with solid Linux skills who need a solution to provision and manage their servers. Basic knowledge of Puppet and/or Ansible is an advantage, but not a requirement.
