Open Source Container Management

Kubernetes

Open Source Container Orchestration

Kubernetes is an open source system that automates the deployment, scaling, and management of container applications. It groups containers that make up an application into logical units to facilitate their management.

Kubernetes is open source and offers the freedom to use infrastructures locally, hybrid or in a public cloud. That way, workloads can be moved effortlessly to where it best fits.

Features

Professional Containermanagement

Service Discovery and Load Balancing

Your applications do not have to be adapted to a different service discovery mechanism. Kubernetes gives its containers IP addresses and a DNS name for a group of containers. The load balancing then takes place automatically.

Self-healing

The restart of failed containers or takeover of the workload in case of failure of a node is taken over automatically by Kubernetes. In addition, the functionality of the applications can be individually checked and the delivery can be prevented.

Automatic memory management

Deploy the storage system of your choice automatically, whether it’s local storage, public cloud providers like GCP or AWS or a network storage system like NFS, iSCSI, Gluster, Ceph, Cinder or Flocker.

Horizontal scaling

Scale your application with a simple commandline command or use the Kubernetes web interface. Of course, depending on CPU usage, new containers can also be started automatically.
