The stackconf program

Since the open source infrastructure conference approaches with big steps, we proudly announce the completion of our three-day lecture program. We finally created our program awaiting you at stackconf online from June 15 – 17, 2021.

Our international speakers

The schedule consists of 34 open source related lectures of speakers from all over the world like USA, Nigeria, Portugal, Spain, France, Israel, Brazil, Turkey, England, Holland and Germany. It includes talks by well-known open source experts such as the following:

Arushi Jain PortraitArushi Jain (Reddit):

“Spot the Antipattern”

Spotting anti-patterns in any large scale production system is an art form, but it doesn’t need to be complicated. In this talk I will describe a ruleset to guide you in identifying anti patterns in your systems. While spotting deeply ingrained anti-patterns can require deep knowledge and expertise in the specific system, I believe that there is a certain amount of generalization in approach that can take you far and is good enough to get started.

Frank Karlitschek (Nextcloud GmbH):

“First hand experience: How Nextcloud stayed productive during COVID-19“

We are all now experiencing that remote working and virtual conferencing are important tools to stay connected. This talk gives an inside look at how Nextcloud GmbH works together with the Nextcloud community-building Nextcloud. It covers different communication channels, how coordination in distributed teams works, and how good and efficient collaboration around documents is possible.

Kat Liu (Klar Technologies)

“You might be Streaming Events Wrong“

Asynchronous message processing has taken the world by storm recently, but not without difficulty. Configuring these queues and streams is far from trivial. Who has time to worry about consumer groups and partitions, when you need to worry about customer growth and features? Does it even matter what streaming technology you use at the onset? The answer is a resounding yes.

Matt Jarvis (Snyk):

“Continuous Security – integrating security into your pipelines“

In the world of continuous delivery and cloud native, the boundaries between what is our application and what constitutes infrastructure is becoming increasing blurred. Our workloads, the containers they ship in, and our platform configuration is now often developed and deployed by the same teams, and development velocity is the key metric to success.
