Die Konferenz in Nicaragua ist bereits vor einigen Monaten im Juli gelaufen und es handelt sich nicht um einen falsch geplanten Blogpost. Wir haben auch dieses Jahr die Debian Community bei der Konferenz unterstützt, obwohl wir selbst nicht vor Ort waren.

DebConf provides an opportunity for Debian developers and contributors who usually work in different locations to meet together, and the talks and discussions that have taken place at DebConf will improve the quality of Debian for all our users.
This year’s DebConf in Managua not only took us to a new part of the world which is too little visited by major Free Software events, allowing us to reach out to new contributors and learn new perspectives, but also to continue our hard work towards the next stable release of Debian. The conference brought together around 200 attendees from 32 countries, and we helped many people make their first steps in contributing to Debian, including a large number of enthusiastic new volunteers from countries in Central America. Many pieces of work carried out at DebConf, and discussions held there, will produce significant benefits for the whole Debian project in the future, and we hope that your organisation can share in these.
We look forward to next year’s DebConf in Switzerland, which we are confident will be a great opportunity to advance the development of Debian.
