Weekly Snap: OSDC 2011 reflections

4 – 8 April was dedicated to the OSDC and a handful of the many pertinent presentations.
Bernd shared his reflections on the first day, looking at the FAI project and Thomas Lange’s presentation on “Fully Automatic Installation”, OpenQRM the modular cloud computing system presented by Matthias Rechenburg, configuration tool Cfengine and Red Hat Network Satellite for systems management with its community project Spacewalk.
On the second day, Bernd gave kudos to Dr. George Kolomvos with his presentation on ‘Open Source Observatory and Repository’, Thomas for his on Puppet configuration management basics and Martin Loschwitz on LINBIT and cluster communication. All in all, in its 2 days of immense knowledge sharing, Bernd applauded the 3rd OSDC’s success.
