10 – 14 January introduced our 2011 training course calendar, Eric from the development team and an open source contest cum conference.
Eric shared a little about himself and his work as Application Developer. Finished with work on the MonitoringExchange makeover, he’s now tending to a Proof of Concept for an enterprise monitoring solution and he hopes to soon pitch into the Icinga project.
From the our Training Centre, Rebecca announced the Nagios Monitoring, Puppet Configuration Management and SLA Reporting with Jasper course calendar for 2011. All are available in packages covering accommodation, catering, training notebooks and take-home materials. This year the packages also offer to cover accommodation for the course eve, to take the stress out of travel. Alternative training options include Customized In-house Workshops tailored to your individual business needs and online Nagios beginner courses in cooperation with the Linux Academy.
If you’re interested in open source, Manuela gave a good event tip: the Plat_Forms Contest and Open Source Business Opportunities Focus Day. 10 am, 18 – 19 January at the Messezentrum (CCN West) Nuremberg, teams of professional programmers will gather in search of the best technology for web development in the Plat_forms Contest. Alongside, presentations and workshops such as “Effective Certification Planning for IT Personnel, “Public Relations for Open Source Companies” and “Agile Processes Beyond Standard Sizing” will feature in the Open Source Business Opportunities Focus Day. Organized by OSBF the Open Source Business Foundation, registration to both events are free and all interested are welcome to join. More information can be found at OSBF Projects and www.plat-forms.org
