1 – 5 November kicked off the month with a visit from a German member of parliament at the office.
Employing about 11,800 professionals and generating 863 million Euros in profit, the Software and Games Industry is the largest and most profitable of the 11 creative industry segments in Nuremberg. On this backdrop, German MP Dagmar Wöhrl visited NETWAYS to understand firsthand, the business behind the figures from a small and medium enterprise perspective. In her previous role as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Economics, she established the Federal Culture and Creative Industry Initiative and hopes to support SMEs in the regional software and games industry.
During her visit, Julian Hein shared NETWAYS’ story from 1995 till today, while outlining its future growth potential. With currently 26 full time employees (including 4 apprentices) and an international customer base, we have much to look forward to. Thanks went to Roland Weiniger, Vice-Chairman of the Federal Cultural Guild and proprietor of a Nuremberg games development studio, for his organisation of the meeting.
