9 – 13 April brought a little something from every corner of the office, including tips for XEN, file APIs and file systems.
Managed Services’ Martin fiddled with XEN PV drivers on Windows, while one of our consultants – Tobias, showed how to mount a file system over SSH with sshfs.
From the development team, Jannis shared his tip for JavaScript file APIs and large files and Eva of Events announced this year’s OSDC dinner and drinks at California. Join us for good food, drink and discussions once again!

Weekly Snap: Puppet 2.5, Python Debugger, OSDC Partners & Icinga/Nagios Training

26 – 30 March ended the month with a good mix of Python and Puppet tips, MySQL lessons and events.
Eva started by thanking our sponsors, Linux Magazin, Admin Magazin and SuSE in the lead up to the Open Source Data Center Conference on 25 – 26 April.
Sebastian then encountered a strange MySQL master-master cluster error while Eric explained how to use the Python Debugger and Bernd forwarded news of the latest Puppet Enterprise 2.5 release.
Lastly, Phillipp celebrated our inaugural Icinga/Nagios Availability Monitoring training course in Düsseldorf, with a second to come on 21 – 25 May.

Weekly Snap: Selenium, Jenkins & Valgrind Help, FLOSS UK & OSDC intensive workshops

19 – 23 March was packed with events – upcoming and bygone, international and local; tech advice from the development team and contributions from our consultants.
In a very international NETWAYS week, Marius and Eric headed off to the Ukraine to run an Icinga and InGraph training course for a client, while Bernd joined the FLOSS UK Spring Conference with a presentation on “Icinga at Deutsche Welle”. He also snapped up the opportunity to join a lively Puppet Camp in Edinburgh a day after.
Tobias then contemplated potential blog content for the future and Christoph introduced himself, his work and life out of the office.
Pamela shared our happy snaps from the recent CeBIT 2012 and reminded OSDC attendees to get their tickets for our intensive workshops on 24 April (conference eve).
Finally, from the development team, Ansgar offered some advice for common Selenium and Jenkins problems, while Gunnar offered his tip for finding memory leaks with Valgrind.

Weekly Snap: Puppet Training, OSDC & InGraph Release!

12 – 16 March hopped from the upcoming OSDC and Puppet training to job opportunities and handy time tools – all while releasing our latest monitoring addon.
To much fanfare, Eric released v1.0 of our much-awaited inGraph performance charting tool. This release also closes our development work on our NagiosGrapher and NETWAYS Grapher V2 addons.
Pamela then called out to interested OSDC attendees, while Eva continued our search for Linux consultants and systems engineers.
In the meantime, Marcus shared a handy time tracker called Hamster and Birger reflected on his last Puppet training workshop in the lead up to the next. We look forward to seeing you there!
