Kendall Nelson – The OpenStack Foundation

OpenStack:K8s::Peanutbutter:Jelly

OpenStack and k8s are often pitted against one another as if they were incompatible and you had to choose between them which simply isn’t true. But there are numerous use cases where Ops run Kubernetes on top of OpenStack, they run Kubernetes supplemented with OpenStack services, or a containerized OpenStack. Companies ARE using Kubernetes with OpenStack, says Kendall Nelson, Upstream Developer Advocate at the OpenStack Foundation.

Call for Papers open

Call for Papers is open until March 30, 2020! Share your technical insights into Bareos and offer administrators new impulses for data backup, archiving and recovery. Each presentation is scheduled for 45 minutes, including a 5 to 10-minute Q&A session. Submit your paper at opensourcecamp.de!

The OSCamp on Bareos is where the community, Bareos users and developers meet – it’s an opportunity to talk to like-minded people and share expertise – as a speaker on stage, or as attendee during discussions and breaks.

What is OSCamp all about?

DevOpsDays Berlin: Last Tickets

On Nov 27 – 28 2019 the DevOpsDays Berlin are taking place!

Success factor open space

One of the success factors of previous DevOpsDays has been the open space format. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s communicative. It fosters the sharing of ideas and insights in the good old fashion, in a non-technical way by just talking to each other. This doesn’t require any effort besides registering and showing up at the event.

Great international line-up

We have introduced the wonderful DevOpsDays line-up before, but let me drop some of these names again, because of the pleasant expectations they arise: Monica Sarbu (Elastic), Beth North, Daniel Löffelholz (ThoughtWorks), Leonardo di Donato (Sysdig), Jessica Anderson (Meltwater)… Or, put differently: Wrapped around the open spaces will be a great line-up of international speakers! Learn more about it here.

Register now, listen carefully and throw yourself into discussion!
