OSBConf provides you with all you need to know about Open Source software solutions for data backup: Best practices, success stories, technical know-how and top-level discussions. This year again we have received excellent papers from experts and researchers.  After a thorough review the program is fixed. Our selection for OSBConf 2018 includes high-level speakers such as:

Open Source Backup Conference – Call for Papers is now open!

  2. There’s an experience or some latest developments you’d like to share with other open source freaks?

  4. You have nothing planned from September 25 to September 26?


Congratulations! Best conditions to become a speaker at the Open Source Backup Conference 2017!
Until May 31, interested speakers are welcome to submit their proposals for a talk via cfp form. We’re searching for technical talks with a real benefit for our participants such as latest developments related to BAREOS and BACULA, user experiences, case studies, best practices and tools.
The English-speaking conference offers the ideal platform to gain latest know how and to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments on open source backup software.
Besides the presentations, there are three hands-on workshops and a relaxed evening event on September 25.

Open Source Backup Conference – Call for Papers

osbconf_sidebar_cfp_200x130The Open Source Backup Conference started it‘s Call for Papers. Interested speakers are invited to submit their proposals via the official event website. Papers will be accepted until June 5th.
The Open Source Backup Conference will take place on September 26 and 27, in Cologne, Germany. The event rates as Europe-wide leading for open source data backup solutions. The two day, English-language summit is dedicated to open source backup software such as REAR, Bacula, Amanda and especially Bareos. The OSBConference is hosted by dass IT and open source specialist NETWAYS.
International IT experts and decision-makers from various industries – such as science and research, education, software development and service providers, media or telecommunication – take this ideal opportunity to exchange experiences and get into in-depth discussions about best practices and the latest know-how in the field of open source backup solutions. In addition to the varied lecture program three hands-on workshops are offered: Bareos Introduction, Monitoring with Icinga 2 and REAR. The workshops will take place on September 26, from 2 am to 6 am.

Seit Dezember 2015 ist Pamela Anführerin des Marketing Teams. Mit ihrer stetig wachsenden Mannschaft arbeitet sie daran, NETWAYS nicht nur erfolgreicher, sondern auch immer schöner zu machen. Privat ist sie Dompteurin einer Horde von drei Kindern, zwei Pferden, drei Katzen und einem Hund. Für Langeweile bleibt also keine Zeit!

Lennart shared tips to standardize Perl-Plugins and Jean-Marcel introduced the Icinga Buildserver Project.
Christian presented the new webinar calendar 2016 while MariusG took a deeper look on the Docker-Registry.
Pamela counted 8 weeks to the OSDC 2016 with Stephen Benjamin´s talk on “Foreman in Your Data Center”.

Vanessa ist unsere Leiterin des Finanzbereichs. Zusammen mit ihrem Team verantwortet sie das Controlling, den Cashflow sowie die Personalangelegenheiten in der Unternehmensgruppe. Abseits des Büros taucht sie leidenschaftlich gerne in die Welt des Yogas ein – vor allem im Bereich Frauen und Kinder. Durch zahlreiche Weiterbildungen hat sie ihr Fachwissen dazu vertieft und ist Expertin in ihrem Gebiet. Als Mutter von 2 Kindern kümmert sie sich liebevoll um ihre Tochter und ihren Sohn. In ihrer Freizeit liebt sie es, mit ihrer Familie zu reisen und neue Orte zu erkunden. Dabei genießt sie besonders die Zeit in der Natur und unternimmt...

OSBConf 2015 – Vielen Dank !

Nach dem die OSBConf 2015 nun vorbei ist, die Nachbearbeitungen fast abgeschlossen sind und wir auch schon in den Vorbereitungen für die nächste Konferenz stecken, möchten wir uns natürlich auch ganz herzlich bei allen Beteiligten bedanken.

am 26. & 27. September 2016 geht die OSBConf in die nächste Runde.

Nadja hat bei NETWAYS eine Ausbildung zur Kauffrau für Bürokommunikation absolviert. Als Manager Finance & Administration sorgt sie jetzt gemeinsam mit ihrem Team für die Gewährleistung des internationalen Buchhaltungsmottos "Keine Buchung ohne Beleg". In ihrer Freizeit genießt sie die Zeit mit ihrem verschmusten Kater Watson (benannt nach Sherlock Holmes' Partner Dr. Watson). Außerdem reist Nadja sehr gerne mit ihrem Mann nach Italien um dort die schöne Landschaft und die kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten zu genießen.
