July was an eventful month! First of all, we were really happy to go to beautiful Amsterdam for this year`s Start-up days. We had an amazing time together! Then some of us went to Berlin for the stackconf followed by the Icinga Camp. Naturally it was a blast! What else did we do in July? Well of course there was our legendary annual summer party, !
Dreaming of the OSMC
Katja told us which workshops are taking place on the first day of the conference and made us look forward to the conference even more. Then she shared links to last year`s talks such as Jeff Gehlbach`s case study Handling 250K flows per second with OpenNMS and Simon Meggle`s talk Robotmk: You don`t run IT – you deliver services!
Ad guards
In the blog- series on ad-blocker Matthias tested the adblocker AdGuard Home and compared it to the Pi-Hole in AdGuard Home als Werbeblocker – ein ernstzunehmender Pi-Hole-Konkurrent? Then Marc R shifted the focus to Pi-Hole in Pi- Hole – das Urgestein der DNS-basierten Werbeblocker.
Icinga
Martin K. brought us up to speed on the newly released Icinga DB! And Christian told us what is new regarding Icinga for Windows.
#lifeatnetways
Julia wrote about our unforgettable Start-Up days in Amsterdam! And Nathaniel finished his apprenticeship and took a glance at the past three years. Then we had a new post in our series NETWAYS Chefs: this time Andrew cooked Spaghetti con aglio e olio d`oliva in our great office kitchen.
Good to know
Nicole taught us about Elasticsearch and it`s features, and Daniel B. wrote about Git configuration in Divide and conquer – Verteilte Git- Konfiguration.
stackconf
Since the stackconf took place in Berlin this month, we have several articles for you, such as Katja`s Behind the scenes – Part 1/2 and Part 2/2. Then Dominik told us of the first day of the conference and Michael recapped day two.
