OSMB to OSDC – Acronyms to Open Source success

von | Jan 15, 2009 | OSMB, OSDC

From this month’s Open Source Meets Business (OSMB) to April’s Open Source Data Center Conference (OSDC), the 2009 calendar looks good for Open Source professionals.
It is unimaginable how large the Open Source community has grown – from IT managers and developers to investors and professional service providers, over 700 guests are expected at the fourth OSMB. Once again NETWAYS is actively participating, with Bernd Erk, Julian Hein and Bejamin Ohloff (StayFriends GmbH) presenting on Xen virtualisation in high availability environments, monitoring of large IT environments with Nagios and the scaling of web applications. From the list of 100 plus speeches, the 3 days promise to be jam packed with Open Source frenzy.
Once all have regained their breath, we hope to see a few faces again in Nuremberg at the OSDC in April for a more relaxed and focused meeting on Open Source for Data Centers. We look forward to learning from OS experts such as Charly Kühnast (Linux Magazine), Luke Kani (Puppet Chief Developer) and Balszs Schneider (Founder of Syslog-NG).
Nothing beats a chance to meet and talk in person when you’re seeking out the latest developments. I imagine Open Source Meeting Live should be the next acronym to watch out for.
