LConf is an LDAP based management system for Nagios and Icinga. It saves monitoring configurations in an LDAP directory and generates new ones on demand.
Full Integration into Icinga LConf is completely integrated into Icinga as a module, accessible in the web interface as a standalone program. It enables the monitoring of a single or multiple LDAP trees within the Icinga web interface.
Aside from representing various objects with easy to remember icons, LConf can theoretically manage unlimited and complex structures thanks to the hierarchical design of the LDAP system.

| Connection ManagerWith the integrated “Connection Manager“, multiple LDAP trees can be bundled together into larger LDAP trees. This allows for example, subsidiary companies to manage their own LDAP trees while giving the head office administrative access to all their configuration settings. |
Wizards to Create New ObjectsUsers that are unfamiliar with Icinga’s internal workings can still easily create objects for the monitoring system. A wizard can be run which asks the user for all necessary information and presents them with simplified options to choose from. | |
With LConf, multiple Icinga servers can be configured in a common interface, as configuration can be broken into parts to be rolled out on different servers. Not only are the configurations generated for active check servers, but automatically for the passive receivers too. For admins running distributed environments, this relieves them of a lot of work.
