Open Source Monitoring Conference 2009 in Nagios Program Committee

To ensure a high quality, balanced and varied program, the Open Source Monitoring Conference 2009 on Nagios Program Committee actively seeks qualified speakers and reviews all presentations.


 
The Program Committee consists of:


Wolfgang Barth

Wolfgang Barth

Wolfgang Barth is author of ‘Nagios: System and Network Monitoring’, the first Nagios handbook. He looks after VMS, Digital UNIX (Tru64), SunOS/Solaris, IBM AIX and HP-UX systems. For him Linux is the logical next-step in the development of UNIX.


In his book ‘Nagios: System and Network Monitoring’, he helps beginners and experienced users with the configuration of Nagios.



Jens-Christoph Brendel

Jens-Christoph Brendel

Jens-Christoph Brendel is a journalist with more than a decade of experience with unix systems administration and troubleshooting. Today he combines writing with computer science as Chief Editor of the "Linux Technical Review", the second issue of which was dedicated to monitoring softwares.



Jörg Linge

Michael Lübben

Michael Luebben has been working with Open Source Monitoring and Nagios for more than seven years now at BTC AG in Oldenburg. In his spare time, Michael maintains the German Nagios-Portal and is one of the developers of NagVis and NagTrap.




Matthias Eble

Matthias Eble is a Linux System Administrator at a large German commercial enterprise. He introduced Nagios there six years ago and has since been taking care of an ever growing Nagios environment. Since joining the development team in 2007, Matthias has been active in the Nagios Plugin Project during his spare time.



Julian Hein

Julian Hein

Julian Hein is the founder and managing director of the company NETWAYS GmbH. Since conception, NETWAYS worked with the first versions of NetSaint and Nagios in its projects, and continues to today.


NETWAYS is also responsible for managing the plugin portal    www.monitoringexchange.com, which has established itself as the official repository for Nagios extensions.
