Today everyone monitors their network, most people monitors all computers and some even monitor that the applications are running. But what about the performance metrics that drives the business? For me, as a system architect, the hardware is irrelevant the software is not very interesting what I want to know is how my application is faring.
This talk is focused on how to bridge the gap between "networkmonitoring" and "application monitoring" I shall discuss how to start monitoring your actual applications, using the tools you already use and know, in other words make sure the systems which drives your business isworking in addition to the hardware on which it runs. We will dive into the Java application server and see how you can use JMX and other tools to make sure your J2EE based applications running on the Java stack are preforming
