Monitoring

Nagios can monitor all IP based devices and also all important services. It monitors applications and actively checks them by simulating client requests. This makes sure that services are responding correctly within a preset timeframe.

Notifications

If a server fails, a important service stops responding or performance data reaches a critical limit, Nagios will notify the administrators. Notifications can be sent by e-mail, by pager and SMS or even by telephone call. This gives you a chance to solve the problem before your users even notice it.

Reporting

Nagios activly polls resources and servers, creating availability and performance data. This data can be used to create performance statistics. With these statistics, long-term trends and future growth can be anticipated.
