Nagios DemosystemTry Nagios and NagioGrapher in our Demosystem. There are currently 50 Hosts and about 180 Services. Some hosts are real servers like Google or GMX and some are only simulated. Simulated servers can be set up and down, so you can simulate fault situations.

*Changes will take about 1 minute* How to manipulate valuesHosts starting with f1- are not real devices, but only simulated for demonstration purposes. There is a NagiosVirtualDevice Interface, you can use to change how the simulated devices react to the monitoring system:
Status of hosts:
Just choose a device and select its state in the state dropdown. You can set the device to OK or DOWN.
Status of services:
You can also set how services on hosts behave: In the state dropdown you can set the service to "Warning", "Critical", "OK" or "Unknown". If you set this to "Not Set", you can change the warning levels and even send random results back to the monitoring system,
Example:
The service "lx-mailq" on the server "f1-mail2" ist set to random values 10:20. If the value for this service is more than 10, it becomes WARNING (yellow) and if it is more than 20, it becomes CRITICAL (red).
