A brief history of NETWAYS

1995 to 1997

In late 1995 Julian Hein, current Managing Director, founded NETWAYS as a sole trader. The services on offer were implementations and support for windows based networks. By the end of the first year NETWAYS was already in the black.

1998 to 2000

Even at this early stage, NETWAYS began to work with Linux and explore its possibilities in enterprise networks. The windows-only projects changed to heterogenous networks and the projects become global: NETWAYS implements a worldwide network for one of its customers.

2001 to 2002

The sole proprietorship is changed to a limited liability company. NETWAYS has 9 full time employees and moves into new offices. The focus shifts further toward Linux and free software.

2003 to 2007

NETWAYS has become a specialist in network management and network monitoring. We develop our own products based on successful open source projects and implement them at customer sites. The specialization in network management helps to establish a client base ranging from SMEs to international companies.
